Claire: Hey. What's your name? Peter: Peter. Claire: I'm Claire. Peter: Are you the one? By saving you, did I save the world? Claire: I don't know. I'm just a cheerleader.
Milo Ventimiglia wants to play Robin in a new Batman film.
The 31-year-old actor — who is dating his Heroes co-star Hayden Panettiere — is desperate to play the caped-crusader’s famed sidekick if the part should come up in a future outing to Gotham City.
He explains, “I always thought I would make a great Robin. I would love to be Christian Bale’s sidekick in Batman. Even when I was younger I never wanted to be Batman. I have always wanted to be Robin. To this day I still think that would be pretty cool.” [...]
Milo Ventimiglia Asks, ‘Want To Play A Game?’
The teaser trailer for “Game” won’t be out until the holidays — since the film was just delayed until next year — but co-star Milo Ventimiglia (”Heroes”) said it’ll be worth the wait.
The game in “Game” — from “Crank” and “Pathology” creators Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor — is a futuristic multiplayer in which you can control other people. Gerard Butler’s, John Leguizamo’s, and Ventimiglia’s characters are forced to play first person games, and are considered just Sim-like avatars by the people who play them, and control their actions remotely, much like you would on a Wii.
The game is watched by millions online, and the players are pop culture heroes. But in the real world, the players are death row prisoners, who hope that playing the game will set them free. If you win 30 games, you’re out (hey, it’s one way to alleviate an overburdened prison system). Butler’s character, John Tillman — who plays under the handle Kable — is the first person to ever get close to that number.
While Butler’s Kable — who may have been falsely imprisoned — is forced to kill in the game called “Slayerz”, what Ventimiglia’s character does is “a little more disturbing,” as you might guess from his name — Rick Rape. “He’s a very misunderstood character,” Ventimiglia said. “He’s kind of loose and slippery and he doesn’t operate like a regular human being.”
Visually, he should be disturbing as well, Ventimiglia said, since the character wears a latex outfit that makes him look like “a bumblee f—ed a black widow and acts like a snake.” Quite an image.
Digital Spy posted the first official trailer for Season 3 in their “Cult Videos” section. This trailer shows a lot of scenes from the season premiere, if you don’t wanna know, don’t open it!
Anyone who’s ever felt overworked can be tempted by the premise of “Rest” – a new limited-edition comic series published by Devil’s Due and produced by Divide Pictures, “Heroes” star Milo Venitmiglia’s company (the main character also shares Milo’s likeness).
“Everyone wants more time,” Ventimiglia said. “As an actor, I work 12-15 hours a day, and at the end of the day when I’m not acting, I read 90-100 emails about business for the production company, so yes, I can identify with a guy who takes a drug so he doesn’t need to sleep. I don’t sleep much as it is!”
John Barrett, a New York-based office professional type, is approached by an old college buddy to take part in a pharmaceutical experiment – take a pill which allows you to function without sleep. What he does with his extra time – and why the government is sponsoring the experiment – becomes the focus of the four-to-five issue run, which starts in October. (It’ll later be collected as a trade paperback next year).
“It’s really about the struggle of this one guy against a government conspiracy,” Ventimiglia said. “I equate it to two trains running, and when they intersect, there will be a huge disaster.”
If the Mark Powers-written series does well, it could be adapted into a film or TV series – after all, it started off as a movie script by Mike O’Sullivan, which Ventimiglia’s company couldn’t do anything with during the writer’s strike — but just because Ventimiglia looks like the main character doesn’t mean he’ll play him. Or that all the comics from Divide Pictures will be vanity projects.
“With ‘Rest,’ it was a natural fit, but I don’t want everything to be Milo-centric,” the actor said. “It doesn’t matter if the character or the actor playing him has dark hair or light hair or blue eyes or brown eyes. It’s unnecessary to have someone look like me. I just want us to tell great stories.”
After a disappointing sophomore season that saw fan criticism, a drop in viewers by 15 percent and a shortened run because of the Writers Strike, the NBC telvision series “Heroes” is back this fall with a vengeance. Dubbed “Volume Three: Villains,” the season promises to address some of the complaints that fans had about the second season, which included a slow build up to the main story and the addition of new characters that took away focus from the main cast.
CBR News stopped by the “Heroes” set in Los Angeles to with Milo Ventimiglia, who plays one of the show’s chief characters, Peter Petrelli. In part one of a three-part interview, the actor speaks candidly with us about the new season, which begins airing on September 22, new cast members and the long awaited introduction of…
Thanks to SpoilerTv I just added three scans from TV Guide. The one with Milo, Matt and Adrian is the last one. Please if someone has a subscription to TVGuide can send weekly scans of the issue?
P.S. New screencaps of Milo in GG are coming very soon!
Milo Ventimiglia and Masi Oka, will be at the Galeries Victoria JB Hi-Fi in Sydney on September 2, from 1:15PM to 2:45PM.
If your love of Heroes demands you to not only pick up the Season 2 DVD pack minus the DVDs, but get the cover signed by the aforementioned personalities, Sept 2 will be like a second Christmas. Personally, I found the second season all over the place (writer’s strike probably didn’t help). David Anders does a wicked UK accent though.
